PVC Strainers, PP Strainers or Basket strainers are mainly used in processes where huge volumes of solids matters are predictable and where the wipe-out will be common. Our Basket Strainers feature the topmost elimination of the screen. The screen is in the form of a basket with a lifting handle; hence all solids taken and reserved by the screen can easily be discarded.

Repairing:
For better quality, a differential pressure gauge installed diagonally into the inlet and outlet will specify pressure loss due to congestion. It can be used as a controller to regulate when cleaning is needed. If the strainer is not installed for backwash cleaning, eradicate the cover access to the basket. After cleaning, change the basket in a similar position as before and squeeze the cover.

Each moulded strainer is tested upto 5 kg/cm2 pressure. Various Perforations, Mesh or Perforation Mesh combinations baskets are available to meet your process requirements.
Before installing the simplex basket strainer, be sure its pressure rating is correct for the system. If the end connections are threaded, be sure the piping is straight and not at an angle or offset. If the strainer has flanged ends, be sure the flanges of the connecting piping are square with the pipe so that no undue stresses are put on the strainer or piping when tightening flange bolts. Tighten bolts in sequence crossing to opposites.
